I loved this! So cute. I don't think I could do this with Logan... he's so resistant to being questioned, unless it's contextually relevant or a specific query. If I could work the questions in casually I could get answers, but I don't think I can plan my conversations that well. Reading this was just delightful!

I asked Altea if she knew what a survey was. And she said no, so I explained it to her. Then I asked the questions. I had to be sure to erase the previous person's answers because she also read the questions as well.

Mike also did one with her later on that night. So funny.

I managed to sneak in the "what makes me happy?" question. Logan's answer, "Me." Yes, very. But I couldn't really get far with that approach, so I tried it your way, explaining surveys and such. End result, "I don't like surveys. Let's not do this." So very Logan.

LOL! Nice. Altea's been more resistant to "conversation" these days. I'm sure I'd get a similar response if I tried this again. ;)

Seriously??? Altea has become resistant to conversation? That's different! Why do you think the shift?

Omg her imagination has taken a turn into the, I don't know what kind of world, but not the one that you and I are familiar with! lol

IF I engage her in her pretend world, then we can still talk, but if I talk to her in this world, then she covers her ears, walks away, demands that she's not Altea and I'm someone else, etc. I don't know why pretend play is so hard for me. I think it's partially me and my lack of creativity and partially her. She changes the rules a lot and it's hard to keep the characters and story line straight and she gets ridiculously mad if you get it wrong.

Anyway, she still talks non stop (she is Altea afterall) but she's become resistant to non fiction books, that she has always loved, and lots of explanation. She just wants to role play. I'll try to blog about this.
